New Arrivals
We've added new sock yarns in preparation for our spring classes. All from Crystal Palace, they are several shades of Panda Superwash and Panda Cotton. These are so soft that they are perfect for baby things and for delicate adult toes too. Mini Mochi, also from Crystal Palace, is a sock yarn with a long color change that looks like ranbows in bright or muted shades. It is so very soft and a dream toknit in socks, scarves, and fingerless mitts. Crystal Palace has free patterns for Mini Mochi and all their other yarns on their website. We also carry Maizy, a corn fiber and elastic sock yarn from Crystal Palace. It is dynamite for summer!
Knitcol from Adriafil is a DK weight yarn that self patterns in colors for adults and kids. It makes a great hat, sweater, or fingerless mitts. We've made a sample baby hat that is just so cute. The pattern is free with yarn purchase.
Baby Llama and Silky Flamme from the Elsebeth Lavold Collection. Baby Llama is soooo soft! It knits up perfectly for all your worsted-weight patterns and is great for hats and scarves because of its delicious feel and warmth. Silky Flamme is a chunky yarn (15 sts = 4") with a think/thin spin that beautifully showcases its luscious combination of fibers (50% Peruvian wool, 30% alpaca, 20% silk). Elsebeth Lavold uses these yarns in several of her pattern books, and her new designs are wonderful as always.
Inca Gold from Berroco, Inc. is 80% Merino wool, 20% silk and 100% fabulous. Nora Gaughan features designs for sweaters and scarves made from this yummy yarn in her latest book. Inca Gold knits up at 20 stitches to 4 inches, adding even more pattern possibilities. Our favorite designs is Eastlake and Linear from Berroco's Nora Gaughan Book 3.
